What can I expect in the way of treatment at Hoffman Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center?

After diagnosing your condition through consultation, examination, and the use of other diagnostic studies such as x-rays and MRIs, a course of treatment will be set. In addition to spinal manipulative therapy to reduce pain and restore normal function, your treatment may also include heat, electric muscle stimulation, mechanical traction, and a host of soft tissue therapies such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Graston therapy. A course of rehabilitative exercises will also be offered.

Is the treatment painful?

No. A word about spinal manipulation. You may have questions or concerns if you’ve never been to a chiropractor. Perhaps you’ve seen crazy videos online or heard stories from friends or family about the twisting or so-called “cracking” of the spine. Rest assured we do NOT do that here. We provide painless, gentle mobilization of your spine designed to reestablish the loss of range of motion one experiences after an accident. All treatment is done within the pain-free range.

Will I be referred to any other doctors?

Yes. Injuries associated with the trauma from motor vehicle accidents are typically more severe and complex than chronic, non-traumatic aches and pains. As such, they require the collaboration and coordination of diagnostic testing and consultations with medical specialists. You will benefit from our network of dedicated medical specialists with whom we have developed over the past 30 years. We typically refer to pain specialists, physiatrists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, and physical therapists. Depending on your injuries, we may also refer you to dentists, wound care specialists, and psychologists.

What is the patient experience at Hoffman Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center?

At Hoffman Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center you’re not a case number or a neck or back patient. Here, you’re family. You’ve been in an accident and you’re in pain. Perhaps your car is damaged, or you need time off from work to heal. We’re here to alleviate your stress and concerns. We strive to make your visits pleasant experiences. Customer service isn’t a slogan here, we take it seriously. Also, dealing with insurance matters after an accident can be daunting. I have an attorney. Do you communicate with them?

Yes. If you are represented by an attorney, we will communicate and work closely with your attorney. We pay close attention to every detail and provide professional documentation of your injuries, diagnosis, and treatment to ensure your attorney has everything they need to effectively represent your case. Whether you are represented by an attorney or not, we will provide documentation to assist you in whatever you need.

Don’t Ignore Minor Injuries

Even seemingly minor injuries can lead to serious long-term issues if left untreated. Without proper care, they can progress into chronic problems—causing joint instability, changes in movement, early wear-and-tear on the body, and eventually, arthritis or permanent disability.
